Duration
|

Your flight lasts for approximately an hour, but you can expect to be with us for around 4-5 hours. This includes the flight as well as the setting up and packing up of the balloon and breakfast.

Weather permitting, we fly in the Yarra Valley every day.

Weather dependency
|
Hot air ballooning is weather dependent and all passengers are asked to check in with the pilot on the night before their flight. Please call on 0418 574 256 between 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm to confirm weather forecast and scheduled start time.
If we cancel the flight due to the weather, you can reschedule for another day. If you cancel the flight at short notice, a fee may apply. Cancellation conditions will be posted out to you upon booking.

Where to meet
|
|
We meet half an hour before sunrise at Rochford Winery (the exact time will be confirmed with the Pilot on the evening before your flight). The winery is located at the corner of Maroondah Highway and Hill Road, Coldstream, 3770 (Melway Map 277, Reference D9). Free parking is available at the winery, and complementary transfers are available from every city motel/hotel.

What to wear / bring
|
You will be no colder in the balloon than when you are on the ground, however we do meet before sunrise, it can be extremely cold at certain times during the year.
We recommend that you wear hiking style clothing in layers that can be removed as the day warms up. Wear sturdy shoes (high heels are not suitable). Also, your feet can get wet and cold in the early morning dew, so you might like to bring a change of socks. The burners can radiate heat, so a hat is recommended. Bring sunglasses if you wish, and don't forget your camera and lots of film (or memory).

Spectators
|
|
Spectators are welcome to join us for breakfast. The cost is $30 per adult and $15 per child (up to the age of 12). For catering purposes, please advise the booking office before your flight date. If the flight is cancelled the breakfast will not take place.
