This package is for one person, although others will be driving on the same day.

Availability
|
|
We operate these rides roughly every two-three weeks on Saturdays or Sundays. Early bookings (i.e. greater than two weeks) are essential to avoid disappointment.
|
|
|
Requirements and restrictions
|
* Although you do not need a current driver's licence to participate, you must be over 17 years of age, and be able to drive a car with a manual gearbox
* You need to be big enough to fit into the bucket seats and helmet, and you must be able to fit in to our racing suits (we have all sizes up to 3XL)
* You are not required to have a particular level of fitness, although if you have any medical concerns, please advise us so that we may accommodate you.

What we provide
|
* Racing attire, including helmet
* Full safety briefing and introduction to from our professional team of race drivers
* Observation laps with your instructor prior to you taking the wheel
* 1 x 10 minute session or 2 x 10 minute sessions behind the wheel of a V8 Race car (depending on the option selected below)
* Two hotlaps as a passenger
* Certificate with photograph, autographed by your instructor
* Hamburger/sausage sizzle for you and a friend
* Fastrack cap

|
Notes explaining the details of what to bring/wear, etc will be sent to you once you confirm your booking with Fastrack Racing.

Weather dependency
|
|
For safety reasons, we do not operate in wet weather conditions. If in doubt about the weather, please telephone (03) 9217 8831 prior to leaving your home (from 7:00 am onwards) on the day of your booking. If we cannot operate on that day, your ride will be rescheduled.

|
Spectators
|
Family or friends are welcome. Please note that:
* One spectator can share in the sausage sizzle for free
* Additional people over 6 years of age will be charged $5 if they want to take part in the hamburger / sausage sizzle
* If a group of more than 10 is coming with you and joining in the hamburger/sausage sizzle, please telephone numbers through on (03) 9217 8831 two days prior to your booking to enable us to cater for all
* Your spectators also have the option of being driven around the track at normal highway speeds in a street sedan for $5 per person

About our cars
|
Suspension - All cars are fitted with German, world-renowned Bilsteen shocks and struts for maximum handling performance. All cars have adjustable ride height, tubular lower control arms and adjustable caster bars fitted with hime joints for incredible handling performance.
Full Race Brakes - All cars are fitted with the same as those used on V8 Supercars: AP Racing or Harrop 6 spot calipers using 375 mm (front) and 325 mm (rear) rotors, which provide exceptional handling and grip.
Roll Cage - The "chrome moly" safety cell is designed for maximum protection and strength, reinforcing the body shell.
Exhaust - race exhaust
Horsepower - approximately 400 hp
Gearbox - 6 speed manual
The closest you'll get to being in a real V8 Supercar.

A DVD of your ride and drive can be ordered on the day. They are available for $125.00, and will be mailed out to you approximately 2-3 weeks after the event.

About Fastrack Racing
|
|
Owned and operated by Australian Superspeedway Champion Marshall J Brewer, Fastrack Racing is the first and only Superspeedway driving school in Australia. Now employing a number of professional race car drivers, we provide race car rides and drives to members of the public and to corporates.
Fastrack's stable of race cars currently includes 5 Monaro AUSCAR race cars, 5 NASCAR race cars and 6 Fastrack V8 Super Challenge race cars - for those whose first love is circuit racing.

| Getting There |

| We operate in the Calder Park Raceway, an easy 20 minute drive from the Melbourne CBD along the Calder Freeway, and only 10 minutes from the Melbourne International Airport. Enter the raceway via the main entry off Calder Highway (under the Dunlop Bridge). |
