Numbers

Valid for one person to participate in a group experience. Minimum group size is 2 (and if minimum numbers are not met, we will contact you to re-schedule).
The maximum group ratio is 4 divers to 1 Instructor or six divers to an Instructor with a Dive Master assisting. Ratios are set to maximise diver's safety, comfort and enjoyment.

Sessions run daily, subject to the weather and numbers.

What we provide
|
|
Scuba Dive Instruction, Equipment Hire (including Wetsuits and hoods for warmth) & Air fill, Skills Dive and an ocean Dive to the Weedy Sea Dragon Colony or the Octopuses & Sea Horse Garden.

What you need to provide
|
Bring a towel, bathers, and something dry to wear afterwards. Self catering applies, please be sure to bring money to purchase or a packed lunch.
Although we do provide masks, snorkel and fins, for comfort and hygiene reasons, it is advisable for clients to think about purchasing their own. Booties and gloves are available for purchase if clients have a fear of getting cold. These are all available at Bayplay.

Requirements and restrictions
|
Participants need to be aged 12 and above. A parent or legal guardian must be available to sign the paperwork for any child under 18 years of age who is diving.
You will need to have basic swimming skills, but no prior snorkeling or diving experience is necessary. Obviously, no dive certifications are required.
If you suffer from diabetes, epilepsy, asthma or heart or lung problems, then you may need to consult a Doctor prior to the course and provide a written Medical Certificate on arrival.

| Getting There |
|
We operate from Blairgowrie, roughly 85 km from Melbourne (1.5 hours by car).
Take the Nepean Hwy (Hwy #3) and head south to the Mornington Peninsula. Follow signs to Frankston. Once in Frankston, follow signs to Portsea. Blairgowrie is the town next to Rye and just before Sorrento. Turn left onto Canterbury Jetty Rd. Bayplay is 500m up on the right.
