Deluxe Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld, VIC

Tucked in at the southern edge of the Grampians, the Royal Mail Hotel and its surrounds provide you with countless ways to spend your time.

Perhaps you'll want to explore the rich and varied produce of the region – acclaimed wineries, olive groves or the sheep dairy to name a few. Perhaps you'll be drawn to the stunning sights that are within easy reach: mountainous look outs, waterfalls, lakes and aboriginal rock art.

Back at the hotel, why not spend some time in front of roaring open fires in winter, dipping in the outdoor pool in the warmer months, or sipping a cocktail in the bar? For meals, visit our restaurant and experience what the chief food writer for "The Age" has called "world-class contemporary food". Your time with us will be time well very spent indeed.

The Royal Mail Hotel Restaurant
Dan Hunter joined the Royal Mail Hotel as Executive Chef in 2007. His previous position was the head chef at Mugaritz in Spain, which was named as the tenth best restaurant in the world by Restaurant Magazine (U.K.) during his time in charge.

"When considering an overall philosophy behind the food style and menu design at the Royal Mail, several key factors come to mind: seasonality; location; purity of flavour; and the use of technology to treat and present food in new and sometimes challenging textures and combinations of flavours."
Dan Hunter

"The Royal Mail is not only special, but unique. Only a truly imaginative chef could produce this food, which is not to suggest creativity usurps sense or style ... we have a new culinary star in the firmament."
Australian Gourmet Traveller, 2008

Dan's cuisine is complemented by The Royal Hotel's multiple award winning 8,000 bottle wine cellar.
