About Holgate Brewhouse at Keatings Hotel
|
|
Inspired to create an integrated brewery, pub and restaurant after travelling through Europe and the USA, husband and wife team Paul and Natasha Holgate have stylishly refurbished the historic Keating's Hotel and created an award winning craft brewery.
The cooler climate of the Macedon Ranges, with its winter snowfalls, creates the ideal environment to capture the style, flavour and atmosphere of traditional northern European beers which can be sipped in front of log fires on cosy lounge chairs.
The brewery is permanently "on show" behind glass viewing windows. Make sure to visit mid-week to see it in action. |

| Getting There |

| We're located about an hour's drive from Melbourne. Take the Tullamarine Freeway towards the international airport, but go past the airport by following the signs for the Calder Freeway and Bendigo. Travel past Gisborne and take the first exit signed to Woodend & Macedon. As you exit the freeway, go left on to Black Forest Drive which will take you to Woodend. The old pub is on the left (with the Holgate Bull prominently displayed on the outside). |
