Numbers

This package is for one, two or three people, depending on whether a side car is purchased with the ride (see options section below).
A single person usually rides on the back of the Harley with his or her guide. Any others must ride in a side car, or hire additional chauffeurs. We can accommodate up to around 60 passengers in a single group if you provide us with enough notice.

Availability
|
Rides are available every day of the year at any time of the day, although bookings with pickups after 8 pm may incur a surcharge.
While bookings are subject to availability, we frequently organise same day rides.
|

|
Weather dependency
|
Melbourne's climate is suitable for riding all year round. It never gets too cold or too hot to go for a Harley Ride. Many people surprisingly don't even notice the rain and cold after the bike starts moving - believe it or not!
If the weather is really too bad for the ride, every attempt will be made to reschedule in consultation with you.

Requirements and restrictions
|
|
There is no age limit, although a parent or guardian will need to give their consent on behalf of a child, and we recommend that children under 10 years of age ride in a side car.
|

What we provide
|
* A helmet.
* A waterproof and windproof jacket
* Waterproof trousers in the event of rain.
* Protective eye wear (in the event that you don't have your own).
* A pick-up and drop-off from your home, hotel or office within the Melbourne metro area for scenic tours and bookings of 1 hour or more duration.

What you need to wear
|
|
We recommend that you wear long trousers (preferably jeans) and closed shoes for the ride.

About our riders
|
Our Riders have an intimate understanding of Melbourne and its history. They are all licensed by the Victorian Taxi Directorate, and are required by law to have at least 5 years continuous riding experience. Most average at least 15 years.
H.D. Chauffeur Ride bikes and riders are fully Vic Roads licensed and insured, with additional $10 million public liability insurance.
All are members of the Victorian Motorcycle Tour Operators' Association (VMTOA) and are bound by its strict code of conduct.

About our motorcycles
|
Our pool consists of a total of approximately 35 bikes (12 can be either sidecars or solos). All our bikes are genuine, late model Harley Davidson motorcycles. More than 85% of all rides are on bikes manufactured post 2001. They are usually fitted with back rests and saddlebags for maximum comfort and added security, and in most cases bikes are fitted with "running boards" as opposed to "foot pegs".
Our chauffeurs are the proud owners of the Harleys we provide you with, and as passionate Harley enthusiasts, they keep their bikes in top working order and immaculate condition.

| We pick you up from your home, hotel or any pre-arranged location around the Melbourne area, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day (loadings apply after 8 pm). We will also drop you off at your chosen destination. |
